ABOUT US

Fire-Aid International was formed in 1991 specialising in the supply of fire tender vehicles to both private and commercial enterprises on a worldwide basis. We are based in the heart of the New Forest in rural Hampshire and only ten minutes from the southern coastline of England.

Our founder is Simon Rowley and the world of firefighting has been paramount in his life from an early age.

The Company has developed to encompass many different areas of firefighting and our flagship service has undoubtedly become our Marine Division.

Through his regular commercial and fire training contacts, Simon has progressively entered into the specialised area of marine firefighting and fire safety on ships.

Chris Rowley, son of Simon and the Director of his own company Pro-FIRE (UK) Ltd was chosen to develop a comprehensive programme of marine fire prevention to include marine firefighting procedures, marine fire safety and onboard marine fire training.

His experience of land based firefighting instruction was the perfect foundation to build and produce our current marine programme.

In the event of a ship being detained, we are able to respond to a situation anywhere in the world in the shortest time possible. A ship detained at port due to inadequate crew fire training is a position any shipping company will regret, both in time and financial liability.

Our Marine Division is in essence, a ship fire training emergency response team that can attend a vessel detainment situation anywhere worldwide.

Our record is exemplary, arriving onboard a detained ship often within 24 hours of the initial request. Since the instigation of our Marine Division, ALL fire safety detained vessels attended have been subsequently released through our specialised onboard marine fire training.

We have established contacts in several European countries and our team is growing as more and more Shipping Companies and Agents begin to realise the importance of ship crew fire safety training and its consequences.

This will be consolidated by comprehensive ongoing refresher training to include current and new legislation as it transpires. Our mission is to create extensive safety awareness and a secure environment for all who navigate and challenge the oceans in the world's largest vessels.
